Here are some pictures of my coin. I also forgot to add that on the front of the coin, the house on the far right has an overhang.

here is a past topic containing the souvenir nickel with the reverse similar to yours (the back of the coin depicting the nickel plant)

http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...PIC_ID=33904

and here is a link to what a 1951 reverse is supposed to look like.

http://coinsandcanada.com/coins-pri...ts-1937-1952

what is the weight of the coin and the dimensions? we also need a picture of the entire reverse.

welcome to the forum!

I don't think it's a real coin since the shape of his brow is wrong. What is the size of this coin? I remember seeing a very big NLT "coin" with this design at a dealers' quite a while ago.

SlurExe97 is right, it's not a coin at all, it's a privately made commemorative medallion.
A similar one here;http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1751-1951-Ca...em2ed72110f7

Yup, and it comes in aluminum (as the ebay listing pointed out by DBM shows) and nickel versions. What can be cool too is the wear/polished die/die progression varieties you can find on the nickel ones. Not a big selling feature to many, perhaps, but something to look for for the absolute completist...

The upside to these medallions is that on ebay they tend to fetch a higher prices on average than the genuine 1951 commemorative coin.
