A display case is a good idea if you're a dealer but not so much as a collector.
Me? I use standard 2x2 carboard flips for all World, Canada & US coins and plastic Saflips for Ancients and Medieval (Mainly hammered) Coins. I keep my slabbed coins in slab folders. Everything fits comfortably in two standard 3-Ring binders. My less valuable coins are just stored in boxes and I have a drawer for junk silver with dividers to sort by purity.
