Thought I'd tease Metalman a bit more with pics of my fav coin in my collection now. The toning on this coin is unlike anything I've seen. I know that doesn't count for grading, so let me have it. It has a few black crud spots on it, those are on the coin. This coin came straight from a sealed proof set package. I've included a pic of it in the original package so you can appreciate the blue color.

My blue and gold wonder:

Hi Thad

Im not easy to tease ,,but this coin gets it done !!

you sure you want to keep it ? LOL

the small hit on the obverse and the spots eliminate the coin from gem classification ,,but the toning and eye appeal make up for it to some degree in my eyes ,, PR-65 is the grade I would apply to the coin from the pictures a cameo designation may apply also but its very hard to judge from pictures the depth of the coin.

I would like to go higher !! without those two detractions the coin would be an easy 68 based on the pictures and in hand could even go 69.

Its a really great coin Thad !

Nice coin. Did you post the proofset pix in another forum? They look familiar.

Anyway, I agree that the spots on both sides hold this back from gem. Because the spots are fairly large, I'd have to go with PR63.

Yea, I posted the pics in the general forum, but I wanted to see some grade opinions.
