Hi all,

I have one coin that my mother gave me but I suspect that it is an imitation as I cannot find it anywhere. I found some similar coins here

but not exactly the same

Yes, you are right, the coin looks like being from the Ottoman Empire - it is dated AH1223, so it would be from Mustafa IV or more likely Mahmud II, who ascended to the throne that year.

To me it looks like a gold Zari-i Mahbub of Mahmud II from the Qustantiniuyya (Constantinople) mint.
