I'm chinese and I don't know much chinese either but it says 10000 yen and 61 years and japan

the big flower on the obverse is the Chrysanthemum - an often-used symbol on many items from Japan.

I believe it says Showa 61st year, 10,000 yen, Japan, 60th years reign. Some commemorative for Emperor Showa.

Note that the face value of the coin is definitely worth a lot more than melt value. You would be mad if you did attempt to sell it as scrap.
