I was digging in the penny bag again and found several 1960D coins,

40.12 KB but this "D" is different from all the others. I think it's the D over D. Can anyone ID this?

Hard to tell if it's an RPM, but easy to tell the coin has been harshly cleaned. Wouldn't matter if it were an RPM, the coin has no resale value.

Mcrespo1, If the MM was more in focus, it would be a bit easier to tell. There are at least 160 examples of the 1960X so you might want to take a little time there on Chucks forum, (Coppercoins.com) Yes, it sure looks like it has been cleaned, with "easy-off".

The scratches on the coin were already there....I did rub the coin with a soft cloth to get the crud off so I could better see the area. I actually found 2 of these in a handful of 60d Penny's. The "D" is different than all the others, it's like a BOLD font and the others are thinner. I looked real close at the mint mark and can't see any doubling.
