Can anyone provide some history of this coin to me? And then is it worth money or is it simply a conversation piece?

It is one of the tokens that the group mints for their special occasions. There are collectors of their materiel both in and out of the group. Being of fairly recent vintage. It still has some value.

Any more information you are told and you would then have to be eliminated!

Haha eliminated... spoken like a member of the secret society. Lol.

I have been trying to figure out how I came to have this token all night... I believe it was my grandpa's as he was a freemason for decades and all my people are from Virginia. So with your info.. it all fits. Simply a ceremonial token on their 200th anniversary.

Thank you for the reply circus.

It is a simple token as some one pointed out, to mark the 200th anniversary.
Other then the metal content, it is not worth much. < $1.00.
That particular coin is commonplace.
They were minted and given out to masons, friends of masons and masons from other jurisdictions.

I think I am the only self confessed Free Mason on this site.

I have other tokens but not this particular one. I don't actively pursue them. When I see them I pick them up.
