Hello Coin Community

This is my first post, so please cut me some slack if I break any forum rules or if I did something wrong.

I go to a college with a lot of international students, and I found this coin in my car today, so I think I might have picked it up on campus. Anyway, I've never seen a coin like this before, and I was wondering if you guys might be able to tell me its origin at least.

The characters look Chinese, but I'm not sure and there are no markings other than the ones you see. The back is exactly the same.

Doesn't look like a coin to me but rather a medal/medallion, good luck charm or some sort of token of East Asian origin (my guess would be chinese).
With both sides being the same it is definitely not a coin.

The other side looks exactly the same, that's what perplexed me so much about it. That, and there's no number or other insignia anywhere

Philadelphian - I think you may be correct. Looked up some images of Pachinko tokens online and they do kind of resemble this one, even if they aren't an exact match.

Thanks for the help!

Pachinko token. It has the logo of the Sankyo Company on it. They made Pachinko machines.
Lots of fun to play, I have one from the 60's.
