Can someone help me find info on this? Could not find it anywhere.

It says 1$ from February 1st 1879. Toronto, farmers joint stock bank

According to the Canadian Bank Notes catalogue, the Farmer's Joint Stock Banking Co was established in Toronto in 1835 and collapsed around 1854. Their first notes were issued in 1835 and included $1, $2, $4, $5, $10 and $50 notes. Their last issue of notes were dated 1849. I believe your note was printed in late 1851, catalogue #14-04-02
with a catalogue value of $75 in VG condition.

I found this, go to page 10 for Farmers joint stock bank.
I could not find anything from 1873 though.
It looks like they were only in operation from 1834 - 54.
I really don't know.

It might be 1849! The printing is very, very hard to read at this point.
