Yup, I would say its genuine. However, that would have been something I would have verified before buying, even at melt. I would grade it AU-58; I see just a touch of wear on the high spots.

this coin looks genuine to me. Quote:

Looks genuine and hard to find at melt no doubt.

Makes ya wonder how many have hit the melting pots at spot.

The pawn shop where I got this has more "problem" gold coins at spot. This looked like the best of the bunch but I was rushed. I'm going back tomorrow AM.

The counterfeits made for this series are notoriously hard to discern from genuine coins. That said, I don't see anything jumping out at me screaming "Faaaaaaaaake!" so I'll assume this is real. Looks AU, possible details for the reverse scratch.

EF-45 and appears to be genuine. Nice die break on the neck.

I think it's genuine. Seems like it would grade around AU-55.

I agree with wheatchaser140 on this one, looks good, a common date, but still need to weigh it to be sure that is good. Probably AU50 details due to the scratch on the reverse.

These are tough to grade. My guess XF-45 scratch. Not really collectible in this grade but if you are getting at melt, then more power to you.

I didn't give it a 50 because of the scratch. I gave it a 50 because it has more detail then an XF45 but seems very weak/worn for an AU.
