Feel like I got a pretty good deal on these for 13.20 per dollar (including book).

Again, as someone new, would you please tell me things to look for to help better determine condition.

If they all look like that, you got one heck of a deal. That one looks uncirculated. You can tell because of the luster, hair detail, bell detail, and the lack of hairlines.

A good deal because of the free holder :) ?

It wasn't until I got home that I realized the bens were in really, really good condition - most like the picture. How would you grade that one?

It probably works out if you look at the other photos I included of Barbers and paid $15 for each. I don't think that was as good of deal. However, I didn't have a single barber 50 cent piece and wanted the free "book" to hold them.

The shop guy said they have full rims (all but 2).

sample from the book - but again, they are all about like this:

The LCS owner is a great guy. I really trust him.

the quality must be terrible -- most of the hair on the top of his head is missing

Here is another from the set. I guess I am so happy one person indicated these are good for around $6.60 per coin.

The lighting on the front isn't as good as the back, but they are about the same.

Thanks again for taking time to grade these!

Look ms and a great buy. Almost that much silver in them. They are probably around MS63. The less contact marks the better, and the more lustur the better.

That 1963 looks like it has some toning on it. If they all look like that then you did get a great deal. The all look MS to me.
