sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 10/05/2014 9:01 pm Someone has heated it up to red heat on the elements of an electric stove, then dropped it into cold water. Try it for yourself with a modern nickel in top condition. It's fun! You will fool lots of people with it! ANYONE can 'improperly anneal' a nickel in this way. It is something to occupy an idle mind in the coming winter months. I usually put them back into circulation. Report this Post to the Staff
