I will join those advocating you get yourself a Fugio over a more modern coin.
These coins just have that 'something' that makes them very appealing.

And they do not have to be in top grade to be appealing.
Here is one from my collection:

Fugioioio's...Rock!
Here's one of mine mine:)
Is is thought that some Fugios were made from the copper bands that went around the gun powder barrels delivered from France during the revolutionary war.

Let's see three rolls of ASE's or that coin, no contest. Wish I had three rolls of ASE's sitting around I'd make the trade.

Ug, I get to be the contrarian. It seems to me you are not sure about this purchase. Are you comfortable spending south of two grand on something you are not sure about? Yes, it is a good price but do your eyes light up when you hold it? If not, please pass. You can spend that money on something you really want and will enjoy for a long time.

Looks to be obverse 8, so two die variety possibilities: 8-B and 8-X, both rarity-3.

If the offer truly is 3 rolls of ASE's for this coin then it is a no brainer, IMO.

PCGS #889 on the slab (think they're using 890 now) means UNITED STATES, therefore 8-B. 8-X is STATES UNITED, and PCGS #883. If they got it right.

I just took it to mean you were displaying healthy skepticism about a PCGS attribution.
