foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 08/28/2007 12:03 am Yes, this is a clashed die. What you are seeing on the reverse is the result of the clash. It is the mark of the area on the obverse between the bottom of the beard and Lincoln's bowtie. The flattened areas on The Memorial building are also the results of the die clash.
