When I originally found this penny and realized all of the doubling it entailed I did a lot of research to try to figure out if it was double die or Machine Doubling. I took photos, looked under magnifying glasses and scanned to get all angles. When I thought I had finally figured it out I went to research others like it and came up with nothing, only the 1999 Wide AM errors- any and all thoughts or opinions are welcome. I personally see doubling on almost all letters and numbers for front and back and very strong doubling on Lincolns face inside and on edges. I think there may be doubling on the reverse image, especially the steps, but I cant be certain. There are some extreme letter errors particularly on the reverse and especially the R in AMERICA. There's some weird stuff going on in this penny and I cant find ANY info on it, please help! Thanks :)

The pics are too far away to see any doubling, but I do see a lot of die wear marks in the fields, especially near the date. This is most likely the explanation for the doubling that you see.

I think Adam is probably right - see some flow marks to the rim on both sides (or look like anyway). Close-ups of the devices would help to confirm, but it looks like a normal 1999 LMC. Let's reserve a final verdict for the time being and Coop will be by eventually.

Hard to tell from images provided. The overall size of the devices look normal to me. It is a Close AM, the normal one for this year on the reverse.

I'm trying to figure out how to get angled pictures that are close enough to show clearly. I am certain that there is double die here, I've never been more certain :/

Hare you tried taking images through a glass/loupe? That is hard to do, but you might get a shot that will show what you have?
