The following is a release from the National Crime Information Center

John Brush, Vice President of David Lawrence Rare Coins advises that after returning from the PCGS Invitational Coin Show in Las Vegas, Nevada an 1898-S $20 PCGS MS64+ with serial number 06611632 is missing.

If you notice, the ebay listings above are for this coin, take a look while your here (click the view all link) and see if any are the stolen coin.

Here is the coin in case it get cracked out....

The Cert is unavailable, and I tend to agree with CoinsKelly that the coin is now raw. Some typical DLRC auction images would be a great help.

I checked Las Vegas Craigslist as well searching $20 gold coin and 1898-S..nothing.
I'll check again in the next few days..Reno as well.
I just have this feeling.

I was at the last Long Beach show with a friend of mine when we came upon a dealer who had coins in the 6 figures.
I asked him if I can see a $350K coin, he said "sure, lift the case".
Now granted, this dealer knew who I was.
But to not lock that case is insanity.

I'm not saying that's what happened in the above case just sharing a personal experience of mine.

Note the gouge above the egle's left (viewer's right) wing. That's going to be a "smoking gun" attribute that will let you quickly ID this coin even from small images.
