Hey guys, just wondering a bit about this piece. Where exactly is it from? Also, any idea of the value on a piece like this?

1. The inscription on the obverse PATRONA VNGA * 1577 points to Hungary
2. The inscription on the reverse MON * TRANS IL narrows it down to Transylvania
3. In 1577 Christopher Báthory was the voivode of Transylvania which matches the C * B

So, it must be a gold coin from Transylvania.
There is a catalogue of gold-coins from Krause which should allow to identify the coin for good.
Cannot say anything about the value or if it is genuine or not.

Yes your analysis appears to be correct. Thanks! Can anybody comment on the authenticity or condition?
