Hello, CCF Classic Coin experts! Apologies for the poor picture quality, but as of now all I've got is my trusty cellphone camera..
I've recently started my own business dealing in silver coins locally, and have acquired these two beauties as part of a very large life-long collection brought to me by an older woman this weekend. It made me ecstatic to have such old historical currency in my possession, as I've never really seen let alone held U.S. currency predating the Barber series (1892-1916).
So it begs the question, what do you suppose they'd grade? I'm guessing VF for the Half-dime, and XF for the Quarter. Are they worth grading in your estimate? Thanks so much for your help and expertise in advance!
5cent VF-25 1829 first year in series $150 retail value 25cent VF-35 1876 retail value around $60
good luck in your new venture! ...generally don't pay for third party grading unless value exceeds $100 and then stick with major graders only ANACS NGC PCGS
