What coin(s) would yoy buy if you had this much money? Thought this would be a cool topic. Maximum amount of coins to buy is 3. So post away

Cheeky, not stating your options.
If I had that amount of money to spare:
1st priority: a good example of Laelianus 2nd priority: a nice Greek coin from the classical period showing the full mastery - Stater, Tetradrachm or similar. 3rd priority depends how much money would be left, could be a Caesar or a nice medieval coin.

A nice Athena Tet, a nice Aegina (with the scaled turtle) and whatever I have left on a Caesar, preferably portrait. If I had to just buy one and could find one for that range it'd be an Ides of March coin.

An Ptolemaic Egyptian octadrachm would be nice......! or perhaps a gold stater of Croesus.

I'd buy a Gordian I, Gordian II and one of the other rare emperors I am missing.

With 10,000? I'd need at least 50,000, but here goes:
A silver of Odoacer, first barbarian king of Italy
A coin of Charlemagne
A decent or better example of any of the last Western emperors (besides Majorian and Libius Severus - I already have those two)

Medieval- Absolutely right my mistake. I would get an Athenian Owl Tetradrachm, Alexander the great lifetime tetradrachm and either a Caesar portrait or a Aegian Turtle coin.

I always wanted a Claudius Caesar denarius. Then maybe a denarius from both Caligula and Julius Caesar to top it off.

There are so many greek and roman coins that I want and 'holes' in my collection that its almost impossible to say however if money was no object I would love to own a masterpeice signed by one of the famous celators - Eukleidas, Kimon, Herakleidas etc etc ... maybe one day if I win the lottery ..
