Hello!

Could you please tell me:
  • Where is the coin from

  • When it was issued

  • What is its nominal

  • Who's portrait is on the front of the coin?

Thank you in advance!

Interesting looking piece. I've not seen anything like it before. I see on the reverse the Greek letter Delta and several other letters but they really don't help much to ID this piece. It looks old perhaps a medieval token I'm not sure if it's even a coin. I'll leave it here for awhile to see if someone has the answer than I'll probably move it to the Ancient coins section for more help.

It's from Olbia -> http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/gree...olbia/t.html

Postscript:

Don't stop at the first similar looking picture, there are a few - none has the 'delta' mark though, so your coin would be a variant of one of those.
