After weeks of not finding a few State Quarters that I am missing for my little collection, I went to the bank and cashed a $100 check. I got 5 $10 quarter rolls. On all 5 rolls, one side is folded in and the other side is open and pushed down to keep the quarters from falling out. I am not sure if these rolls are worth more than the $10 in quarters but I would like to be sure before I open them. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like hand rolled wrappers. The only way to know if there is any extra value inside is to open them.
If you cashed a $100 check and got $50 in quarters, what happened to the other $50 ?

Haha I got 2 twenties and a ten for gas and other stuff. And what exactly do you mean by extra value? Thanks.

"extra value" could be anything from a silver quarter mixed in, error quarters, foreign coins. Almost anything but a standard circulated quarter

You could possibly find a proof quarter in one of those rolls. Finding one is kind of slim, but you don't know until you open up a roll.
Good luck.

$22.25 worth in State Quarters, $27.75 in quarters dated from 1965-1998 (missing only the 1968 quarter). I was missing 3 of the State Quarters (not counting Idaho) and now am only missing Arkansas. I've had Arkansas many times before but not after I started paying attention to which quarters I got. This was fun, got a nice variety of dates, now I get to figure out what I'm going to do with all the quarters.

That is a no brainer, Spend them!!
Of course it is tough walking around with $30 to $40 in quarters in your pocket, you tend to lean to one side, unless you divide them evenly in your pockets.

I have all 1965-98 quarters except for the 1968 quarter as said earlier. I am keeping at least one quarter from each of these years. Should I try to get all P and all D for each year? Or just keep one from each year and then put the rest back into rolls and get some nickel and/or dime rolls?

Welcome to the forum SportzStar! Since you have almost assembled a full date/state set of clad quarters already you might as well go for a full set with mintmarks too

Now if you lived in Illinois, you could help feed our toll roads with thoes. Also, use at laundromats, waitresses tips, purchasing a newspaper or use the entire amount for just gas for your car.

I worked at a gas sation last year. Right after Katrina, when gas was like $3.20, I seen SUV's put $100 pluss in them.

Thanks for the advice and RLK, I did 2 quick counts and came up with $49.75 both times, I think I'm forgetting a bicentennial quarter I put away though. All the rolls look exactly the same, tan with orange writing and say COIN-TAINER® so $49.75 or $50.00, I got what I paid for.
