It was in the till at work. It is dull and dingy, but the field seems to be mirrored and the features are frosty and white. It has led a hard life because it's in worse shape than most SBA dollars are.

Yep thats a proof. Can't really tell from the pictures whether it's a type one or type two. Tentatively I'm going to say type two. Cool find either way.

If a type 2 got spent, that would be sad. Hope it is a type 1. I still need both type twos and the near date for my set.

I am about to crack like eight damaged 1981 proof sets soon. So I will be having a ton of these around my place.

Yes. This is a Proof coin , but has been put in circulation and spent, making it "Impaired".
