I have a 1996 proof 1 oz ASE that I am pretty sure would be a pf 70. Should I send it to ( insert TPG here ) through a coin shop, or send it to ANACS my self? I don't want to buy a membership.

If you plan on selling it PCGS will bring a bit more. If you plan on keeping it ANACS. You can submit to PCGS through a coin shop.If you can post a very good pic do that first so you don't waste money sending it in and getting a 68 or 69.

I tried several coin shops in my area, and none of them were sending in coins. You are fortunate if you have one that will do that. Like was mentioned above, pics here would be a good start.

Well, it is in one of those blue velvet boxes and an air tight and the coa. It has just been sitting there and it is perfect, but I will get pics.
