Hello everyone.

I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on this token for me. It was recovered a few years ago while metal detecting. I just had it sitting in a baggie for the past few years. I was taking pictures today of some items I was getting ready to sell on a local auction. When editing the pics...I noticed that there is quite a bit of doubling on the obverse. I was curious to know if this doubling is common for this token. You can also see the notching on quite a few of the letters/numbers.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a pic of the Obverse and reverse of the token.

Here are a few closeups of the doubling. The closer I look at it...the more I think maybe it was a repunch and not doubling. Any thoughts?

Well...value is not always a marker for an items age. :) With that being said. I believe it was minted in the early part of the 20th Century. Here is some information I was able to find.

I'm really curious about the doubling/repunch. I wonder if it was common for the run of the token.

Any other opinions on the doubling/repunch or information on the token itself?
