Buffalo Nickel Date Confusion. - Coin Community Forum

petsalad New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 10/21/2014 11:30 pm I recently bought a roll of Buffalo nickels, and I can not read the date on this one. The nine on the end is all that is clear to me. Might it be an error, or are my eyes failing? Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

Fuzzy317 Moderator United States 14463 Posts	Posted 10/21/2014 11:41 pm Buffalo nickels were produced 1913-1938, so a 9 as the last number could only mean 1919 or 1929. And the space beside the known 9 looks too small for number 2. Report this Post to the Staff
