Hi all,

Today form a pawn shop I picked up a 1982 Prospector still in its plastic wrapping. There is a hole in the side that has led to the silver being toned in that area, and the wrap itself is pretty torn up as you can see from the photo.
Any reason to not remove it from the wrap and keep it in a flip or similar...
No great value in its original wrapping?

Also got 2 x Mercury dimes for $2 each and a 1900 Quarter for $5.. so not a bad day.

If I were you, I'd take it out of the wrapping since I would better enjoy the coin outside of the wrinkled plastic (also an airtight might provide better protection. Seeing as the original wrapping is already holed, I can't see why it would add value to the coin.

Took the wrapping off. Kind of like when you peel the plastic off a new phone (or is that just me).
I little bit more dinged up than I would have expected but still looking nice.. It has character..
