Below is from GPA Coin Analysis site verbatim. This site does require a paid membership but, one can enroll in a free 12 hour/20 visit trial offer through Heritage. While exploring the site, I found the information offered easy to access and follow. While this site targets investors, collectors can extrapolate or interpret past and present trends to form inferences on realized prices for future sales and purchases.

I am not selling this thing, just passing on valuable information. I wasn't sure where this belongs so; Mom and Dad please move to appropriate forum.

"A man's judgment cannot be better than the information on which he has based it" (Arthur Hays Sulzberger).

The objective of GPAnalysis (the company also responsible for GPA for Comics), is to provide the rare coin collectors & investors with an on-line service that presents information [on sales realized] in a meaningful manner that is:

* intuitive and highly useful
* enables participants to make decisions based on knowledge

The GPA for Coins service has some very significant points of key differentiation to that of the current alternative services available. GPA for Coins is an on-line dynamic service vs. a static listing offered by all of the current alternatives. The on-line, real-time service provides market data based on actual sales results, updated shortly after the close of auctions.

GPA for Coins provides an unprecedented level of information to collectors/investors on the prices realized for rare coins. Extensive information can be obtained on a single coin: sophisticated summary reports and analysis [including charts] are instantly available.

What makes it really exciting and different from anything else available in the market place is that the data is interactive. You can set the parameters of the data set you wish to interrogate and then customise the output. Some of the many features available include:

* expand & collapse data sets
* select period data range
* deselect a coin(s) from a data set
* annotate a single coin sale
* add or remove high/low from charts
* include precious metal trends to individual chart
* add frequently searched coins to My Coin watch list
* manage a sophisticated portfolio of your investment

I'm so glad to know about this. There just isn't any web sites out there with coin information.
And they only charge money for their services. Sure beats all the free web sites on coins.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time Benji. In fact I haven't even looked at it and won't since they probably want my address and home phone number.

But the dirty little secret about "coin investing" is that coins don't make people rich. coin collectors make coins rich. We are the cause and profits are the effects. If the coin collector base isn't there, investors are just flipping stuff back and forth to each other. They have reversed cause and effect, simply producing an effect and hoping that coin collectors will produce the cause.

Only we are way too erratic to be predictable.

Then again, the more popular that site is, the more accurate it will be because it'll be influencing the prices of coins on its' own. Coin collecting is a herd behavior. That's all one needs to know, because if you can smell which way the herd is turning before they finish the turn, you have time to get in before you get trampled.

I don't know which is worse; ignorance or hypocrisy. I think I know the reason but I can't spell it.

Benji, I assume you feel insulted. That is not the object of the answers you may receive. It is just that in many instances there is becoming way to many coin web sites and when someone wants money to answer your questions or when you ask for help, they charge you, it's just not to popular. It is not ignorance when people express their feelings, it is just that, their feelings. You gave a nice detailed explanation of a web site that you may or may not have anything to do with, but if people don't agree with you, that is what makes us people. Don't take it as an attack on your ideals. Myself, I just don't want to pay for something that is basically free in other places.
