I've been using the venerable Whitman folders for circulated nickels and pennies since I started collecting, but have recently begun to "upgrade" the sets I've got. I'm looking for albums that don't require the usually excessive force to insert coins that the Whitman folders need.
What's my best bet? Dansco? Intercept? How about the Whitman Classic albums rather than the folders.
I just started using Dansco Supreme albums and I do like them. I've used the Whitman folders but I don't know how they compare to the Dansco Deluxe albums. The Dansco Supreme ablums allow you to see the coins from both side.
I have all three mentioned , However I prefer the Dansco , the quality of the Dansco and How it is made is far superior to the other 2. I find on most of the Whitman Albums the holes are 2 big and the coins come out, VS the typical Apply 50 pounds of Pressure (LOL)to insert coin Whitman Folders. I even have a Littleton Album I do not like it. Another good alternative is an Official US mint Album They are Gray with obvious logo US mint Authorised etc. I think you can get those at Barnes and Noble.
Thanks, everyone. So it sounds like the Dansco Supreme are what I'm looking for, which is basically ease of insertion of the coins. My wife was about ready to bust out a hammer to make some nickels fit into a Whitman folder. I talked her out of it.
