X-ray machine gave the game away perhaps?

I'm always concerned when I send coins in the post (tracked).
Anyone know if a square of silver foil would conceal the circular image

It might, but if they can't identify what it is from the image they may open the package to check it out, or just delay it for further examination. Get them really scared and maybe they'll blow it up just to be safe.

You want to send it safely send registered mail.

If there is a silver lining to this, it's that the coins are patterns, and even if cracked out of the slabs they should be pretty identifiable down the road, provided that honest dealers come in contact with them.

I live in Dubuque. Wonder who shipped them? Anyway, Registered U.S. Mail is the way to go as Conder noted.
