Several months back I purchased a 1959 penny on ebay that weighs 1.5 G and is as shown. I saw one price on ebay for the same coin and it's crazy so I'm asking the community for info. I paid roughly 27 dollars for it and I'm wondering if anyone else has one or if I paid more than it's value. Sorry about picture quality. I'll post more if requested with my better camera.

Sorry I had to step out. I don't think it's been treated with acid but to each his own. Hope these pictures help.

Go to coingalaxy.com or check acid treated coin pictures in a google search. The education you will receive will more than offset the dough you were relieved of, purchasing your ALTERED coin. You do not have to take my word for it but your cent is NOT LEGIT!! Sorry! Numismatic education is sometimes rather expensive!!

Definitely an acid shrunk coin. The reduced diameter, porous fields and the thinning of the letters are evidence.

Yeah fixguy, I have to agree with the others, acid will make all the letters very thin.
