Good day to all.

Was wondering if there was anyone else out there with 67' dollar, who's die had been rotated 180 degrees?
I cannot find anything which would explain how this came to be.
The only info I have come across is that there were only thirteen in existence.
I was hoping that someone may have the story behind this one.
In the title I used "upset" because that was how ICCS labelled it.

A rotated coin can happen if the one die is set incorrectly or the die moves due to a loose set screw, the 1967 dollars had many helped errors. There was a really nice ICCS ms 65 upset die 1967 dollar sold at 2013 Winnipeg RCNA auction for about 10000.00 plus juice and HST. The 1967 dollar is really cool coin with the goose flying upside down.

There are a few on ebay..the steeper the dive the more it costs.

" helped errors " That was what I was thinking. I understand rotations due to die's becoming loose. But a nicely squared 180 degree seems a little to far fetched. I know there are other coin values out there with the same condition. I'm just wondering if this was deliberate.

Thanks for the reply.

A seller is looking for a few hundred dollars for this dive on his 1967 but sometimes the obverse is off a bit and they don't square it up making it look like a bigger dive.I moved it 8% so originally its only a minute dive.

Here is the reverse 8%the opposite way.If you rotate the obverse to the left than the reverse goes 8%the opposite way.
