The chief differences between the Collector Issue and the Bullion Issue are:
The Collector Issue coins bear the 'P' mintmark to the right of the bow in Washington's hair on the obverse, and Bullion Issue coins have no mintmark.
The Collector Issue coins are 'vapor blasted' - a process that mottles the surface of the die giving it an even, satiny texture. The Bullion Issue dies are not specially treated and have an uncirculated to semi-prooflike texture.
The Collector Issue coins have a lower mintage and are individually packaged in a display box by the mint. Bullion Issue coins are sold in monster boxes containing 10 rolls of 10 coins each (total 100 coins).
With either the Collector Issue coins or the Bullion Issue coins, the design is the same as those on the smaller quarters except that their larger size allows designers and engravers more space to work in some finer detail making these coins especially beautiful!
