Hi all I was wondering what to look for if post-1970 half dollars contain silver in them. I have tried looking up stuff online but have always had trouble with this. Here are some pics of the one I have.

And any tips on how to tell if other proofs are silver would be appreciated. Thank you!

Yours is not silver, notice the copper edge? Pre-1970 coins are 40 percent silver, except for the 1964, which is 90 percent.

In deed, there some proof bicentennial coins that are silver-40. However, those coins have silver rims and weigh more than 11.5g

The Mint issued a Bicentennial 3 coin proof set with a 40% silver quarter, half, and Ike, but yours is the clad proof not the silver proof.

1976-S PROOF Cupro-Nickel Clad 50c.: 11.34 grams

1976-S PROOF 40% Silver Clad 50C.: 11.50 grams.

It is all spelled out in the " RedBook".

Ok so basically just the weight difference and also the rims? I thought that this wasn't the silver version but just wanted to check here to make sure. So with the silver versions the rims would be completely silver in color and not the silver/copper color correct?

Right. And the silver coins are more silver in color whereas the clads are more nickle colored, a bit more gray.
Here's a comparison:

But due to the tolerance range of the two coins overlapping, weight can NOT be used to definitively identify them.

tissue test should work though. A silver plating can fool the tissue test but if it was plated you wouldn't see the edge separations.
