According to the CCF Glossary a lamination is: "A thin piece of metal that has nearly become detached from the surface of a coin. If this breaks off, an irregular hole or planchet flaw is left."
I wonder whether he has trouble defining it. "Pieces of metal welded onto coin, then cut off. Picture says it all." , or "Lamination"? The coin looks real and the price is not unreasonable for the condition.
