Hi,
This may seem like a silly question for some of you but I am in possession of few $1 silver certificates from 1953. I found them inside an older book I bought at used book store. Are the still redeemable for silver? Any value to them? Thanks for your help.

No, but they are worth around $1.50 to $3.00 each

As Kenny said they are no longer redeemable.

But free money is always good!

I think the only money that is still redeemable for silver nowadays is Liberty dollars.
