OMG....me too Chris! Of course, I'm getting better and better as a collector. I don't much care about color, just quality is important. I'm getting picky about strike, die state and blasted carbon spots.
I'm getting EXTREMELY frustrated with the Memorial series. It's almost impossible to find quality coins! They are so, so neglected because of the large mintage and low collector value, they are used and abused. The vast majority (99.5%) have carbon spots, dings, worn dies, etc. For all you people that think they are 5-10 cent coins....I might be dead when it happens...but my Memorial collection WILL be valuable....just wait in 50-100 years when it will be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find quality Memorial coins.

Here are some pics from the Wheat shootout- First up is a 1909-F, must be a new branch? Next is a nicely toned 1917- 3 22-D's not the greatest but are adding to the roll collection- The 24-D- 31-S- 1927 BU- Got 25 of these, all look the same- A 1932-D nicely tones with shades of purple and blue- One of my favorites, a 1938 with a planchet flaw and woodgrain finish- 1957 that I do not know if it is post mint clips- And finally, I think this is a new type of error? :)
