I went into a Bank of America and asked to go through the $2 notes they had and one teller said "I have this really strange one I am sending off to be destroyed." It was a crisp 1928. She said a teenager brings them in almost every week because they were his grandpas and stores won't take them so he trades them for 2 $1 bills. In brought it home, it was my husband's b'day. He was pleased. After that, the tellers saved them for me, I got 9 of them total over a few months!
