My tenant handed me a bag of coins to look through that he picked up over the years doing renos, nothing too special a few silver pieces but this caught my eye. After a little research I'm thinking it's a Spanish Cob of some type- there is no date or denomination on it, while the one side of the coin is familiar to other cobs, I haven't found any with the ship on the other side. Any input would be appreciated...:)

i would say fake. Looks really suspect, but I have almost no experience on these, so I could be wrong.

Not what I want to hear but who knows? I did read about that being a possibility as well and if so, I still think an 18th century copy is still collectible. Hopefully someone will come along with more info...:)
