Crazy idea just for fun, but what if the mint took reject proof coins or minted extra proof, maybe bring back the satin finish coins or reverse proofs and mixed them in with standard circulation coins. The coins would most certainly be impaired before they are found so the increase mintage may not hurt the value of the pristine coins (what value there is). The mint makes a large profit on collector coins so this might be a way to introduce the general public to these.

Again just a crazy idea, what are everyone's thoughts?
