To me it looks like a combo of MD and worn die.

thanks. they should consider changing them,i find it common in alot of american coins.

MD... Not a double die. The doubling you see is shelf like. Double dies are not flattened like yours are. Worn out die. 😁 some of the Pros have good photos to show the difference.

I personally know that both John1 and I have referred the following URL below multiple times to many when this issue of MD vs DDO / DDR pops up.

The verbiage and photos in it truly assist one to make a more accurate determination:

I also am in the MD camp for this 10c '12 especially based upon the step like characteristics.
