Got a Red Seal $5 bill from young cashier who asked me it I wanted to see a counterfeit bill he got that morning. Got a double edged $1 Washington 2007 D left as a tip at a bar. Got it slabbed at ANACS and they liked it!!

Today: 2002 Portugal Euro 5-Cent given to me as my "1¢" worth of change at McDonald's!  5 Euro Cents is worth 7 U.S. Cents at today's exchange rate, so I net-gained 6¢ just in terms of face value. |

Maine Jim, that's a terrific find! The chance of any classic commemorative popping out of a roll is pretty small, but I presume this one might come up more often if you actually live in Maine!
The photos don't allow a good evaluation but it's probably at least AU-50. That's a $100+ coin in that grade. Congratulations!

I do live in Maine so it does make sense getting it as they were mostly sold around here. I graded it at AU-50 but it's pretty dark. The only other commemorative I've found is a 1995 Civil War commemorative about six months back.

Very nice, Maine_Jim!  I think a lot of the classic commemorative coins circulated. I see a lot of circulated grade ones at the coin shows. Edited by jbuck

As a lady at work was going through her purse looking for change, I saw a ton of what looked like British coins. I asked, and she had just come back from England. She gave me a 1993 One Pound, 2006 50P, 1980 2 New Pence, and a 2002 Penny. She even refused my offer of payment!
