Today, my girlfriend bought ten JFK Half-Dollars out of the Starbucks barista's drawer. Yes, the same Starbucks where I got the four Ikes.

She got a 1964-D, a 1965, a 1969-D and seven '71-up clads.

I almost spit out my Frappucino when she held that '64-D up to my face.

I consulted my phone's calculator, then told her "I love America. Where else will somebody pay over $26 for a cup of coffee and not even know it?"

Today, I thought the Nickel I got in my change was a 1958, until I took a closer look and saw it was a 1938 (P)

Nothing special, but I have not received a Wheat cent in a very long time. It always makes me happy, even for a common, beat up coin.

Thanks! It was my first "find" in quite a while, other than the flood of 1970's Lincoln Cents (which I am not complaining about).

My wife and I had to work the concession stand at my daughter's soccer game today. Of course I had to check all the coins and bills. One of the quarter rolls had that telltale blast of white on one of the rims - 1944 Washington quarter! He shoots, HE SCORES!

To top things off, at the end of the game, there were just enough burgers left unsold to feed the whole family. My wife was more excited about not having to fix supper than in finding silver for FV. The heathen.

Yesterday I got a 1974-S cent in my change at McDonalds. I know, not a big deal. But I'm on east coast, so the S cents are kind of rare, and I can't remember the last time I got one in circulation, so this was a nice find

You do not see them every day, so I say an S cent is a nice find.

Nothing special but I FINALLY found a 2009 P Nickel in change! First one I've seen. Also a 2011 D Nickel at the same time also my first.
