Quote: Found a 1930-S, a 1936-P, and a 1937-P Wheat cent tonight from CRH. Suddenly finding quite a few thirties Wheat cents all of a sudden. Fantastic!

Might want to check the 1936-P for the DDO.

@jbuck Thanks! @CalzoneManiac I louped it as much as I could, but unfortunately, no DDO. On the plus side, I did find a 2009-D nickel today from CRH. Only the 2nd one I've found. Cheers!

I've been away from here for awhile, healing from cubital tunnel surgery I had in August. While healing, I had two nice finds, both from the change machines at local grocery stores in the self-checkout lanes. Whenever I buy groceries, I always pay with my ATM so that I can get 94 cents in change - 3 quarters, a dime, a nickel, and four pennies (9 coins total)... On October 27th of last year, I bought some groceries at my local VONS... as I checked my change, I noticed, shockingly, that there was an Indian Head cent! The truly amazing part happened though when I flipped the coin over. Yes, 1867! Needless to say, I was in absolute shock... one of the checkers watches over the self-checkout area, so I showed her - she was amazed... Barely two weeks later, on November 14th, I used the local Ralphs self-checkout... I got my 94 cents in change after I bought some hamburger buns... I heard a funny clang as the change hit... Yes, a 1954 Quarter! In the months since, I've found three wheat cents (1957, 1957-D, and 1958-D), but no more silver or Indians... but I keep trying.

Quote: Amazing finds! Thanks, CalzoneManiac! That 1867 Indian is my best single coin circulation find EVER! My only better finds have been via CRH.

Got a very worn 1944 S LWC, in change at the drug store today. Cashier looked at it funny, then dropped it in my hand.

A 1950-D Wheat cent obtained in change at a thrift store brightened a pretty gloomy day yesterday. (If only it had been the Jefferson nickel, but you can't win em all!)

i took some Americans on a tour this afternoon and one of them tipped me a 1971-D Ike! Another gave me a 2013-B star note, which excited me, but when I checked the serial number I discovered it wasn't one of the famous duplicated ones! This is the first time I've ever had an Ike as a tip!

1943-P nickel... worn... pretty sure not the 3-over-2 one. Still neat to find.
