Not a bad price if you got them all for $5, I have seen them going for 1.50 eaches lately.

Really nice. Especially for Kane County shows. They are usually overpriced on everything. Did you have to pay to park? They usually charge to park there for the gun shows. For the grade of those coins they would sell for a lot more than that. Would like to see better photos of those coins. As to Kane County being an hour from Chicago. By plane or rocket ship? I'm already West of Chicago and it takes me about an hour to get there. Don't tell me you speed. Now don't forget that 4 day show at Countryside this weekend. You will find a real lot of Indian Head cents there. Supposed to be a really big show.

Very nice Indian Heads. Certainly a good deal for $1 dollar each.

Thanks for your feedback - it seems I did pretty good. I was also looking at some Morgans at the same table - one was $26 and the other $38 (I don't remember what years though) - one was cleaned (there was stuff around every number, letter, star, image, etc). I decided against them since I know little about them, except they can be worth a ton... just carl - we did not have to pay to park but it was $5 a person to walk in, which isn't bad at all. These are the best pictures I could get - I'm not very patient with a camera. It might have been a little longer, an hour and 15 minutes, but not much more than that. Traffic was pretty light

Don't know if you go to all the coin shows in the area but there are 3 each month in the area. All are free to get in, free parking, lots of coins.

At your next coin show something you might look for are better examples of Indian cents. Sometimes better to spend a little bit more on one coin than to get five in a lower grade. Lower grades are more common that higher grades and you will appreciate them better. IE: There are a few things that you will want to look for on Indians. The LIBERTY on the headband. The best to see all letters fully struck. Or even most there is better than worn totally off. The tips of the feathers on the headdress having indications of feathers. The date. Check the digits for over-dates. 1908/8 19/90. They are there and worth more than regular Cents. Also look at the coin. Avoid ones with scratches and gouges into coin. Each collector buys the way he does for a reason. Some want more coins for the buck. Others want nicer coins for the buck. But knowing the difference, you might find one that will be worth more in the long run, than the bunch you bought at a good price. It all begins with the eye. What does it LIKE to see.

coop. Try to remember that many of would like to have coins as the ones you displayed but the monitary situation may not be there to acquire them. For the greatest amount of people on Earth, large amounts of money is just not available for coin purchases. Any DECENT Indian Head cent for $1 is a really not a bad investment for the majority of us. Most of us are really happy with lesser coins than ones of perfection at prices above our abilities. You may be correct as to everyone should want a fantastic, almost new old coin, but then there are just not enough to go around for a price we can afford. Sorry for this explanation but so many forget the majority of people on Earth are not rich. I would buy Indian cents like those for $1 any day.

coop - that is a nice coin! I agree that better quality would be nice but I thought for $5, what the heck! These are my first so if I decide to pursue more, I will need to learn more about them. Although, if I could get more of this quality for $1 a piece, I don't think I would complain about that either.
