Without the benefit of a legend my best guess for this coin is Alexius III, billon aspron trachy. Obverse: Bust of Christ facing. You can just barely see the letters IC-XC on the side of Christ face. The reverse is Alexius III and saint Constantine standing side by side. These coins are not silver per say but have a small amount of silver in them. When struck they had a silver wash, sometimes some of that wash remains. SB-2011.

As 'echizento' said, one needs to be able to see (some of) the inscription to be 100% sure - or at least a clearer picture.
There seems to be a part of the legend visible, perhaps you can post a magnification of the relevant part.

From what few letters on the reverse I did see, they are not enough IMO for a positive ID.

these either seem to have strong centers with weak fields like mine, or strong fields with weak or doubled centers...depending on if was a single hit or a hit, rock it, hit style strike.

O.K. Ski. Your knowledge of Byzantine coins (and obvious liking for them) has inspired me to get some.

I have just bought three coins and when they arrive (and I have cleaned them somewhat), I will put them up.

I am getting enthusiastic for them, now.

It's nice to see others becoming interested in Byzantine coinage. This area of collecting has been overlooked by most collectors of Ancient/Medieval coins. The history of this empire is just as interesting as that of the earlier Roman empire.
