In the cumulative sales statistics for the two coin clad set, four coin silver set and the gold Kennedy half dollars are the coins returned deducted from those totals as they come back to the Mint or after they sell out or cease the production of that particular product? I cannot image any of the coins returned being sent to another customer and are probably destroyed.

In regards to the Smokey Mountains five ounce P Mint coin the mintage limit was 25,000 and the total sales is listed at 24,722 so the difference must be for returns that the Mint did not strike replacements for.

Thanks for the info Gyrene~!! And yes, I can't see the mint resending out the returned coins either.
