Well, didn't mean to put it in the grading section. I guess I got a bit excited. If a mod sees it, can they move it to the correct place?

Wondering if its a type 1 or type 2 planchet. Have you weighed it?

It may not be a blank planchet for a coin, it could be for a a token or a medalette or similar. Need diameter, and to be weighed accurately to confirm if it was intended for a cent.

Couldn't be a type 1. If it is one, it would have to be an unstuck planchet (type 2). It has a rim. A blank ( type 1) hasn't been through the upset mill, which creates the rim.

I meant type 1 as in pre-1983 mostly copper, or type 2 for a zincoln
