They have a new service for slabbing counterfeit coins for educational purposes. They may even details grade the coin. That's awesome! I never heard of any TPG that slabs non-genuine coins. I have a reference collection of about 100 fake coins, for my own education in learning to spot a fake. I will buy fake coins, PROVIDED THAT they are sold as fakes, and at a very low price that justify the 'fake' status. Excellent and highly deceiving fakes are more effectively educational, and thus could be worth more - these are the sorts of fakes that may be worth sending to ICG, provided that they come back slabbed, AND with a weight notation. Sap Moderator Australia 16810 Posts	Posted 11/18/2014 12:15 am As discussed recently on another coin forum, NGC Ancients will slab ancient counterfeit coins - fourees, limes denarii, and barbarous radiates. Such objects are 2000 year old artefacts in their own right and, in the eyes of most ancients collectors, are just as collectable. NGC puts "ancient forgery" right there on the slab, to make it unambiguous, but grades it just the same as any other ancient coin. CoinArchives example.
