Who knows what coins will be admired!

Maybe a trade or two?

Hopefully something good in the auction?

...and, of course, after the meeting, browse through my favorite coin dealer's wares that he loaded in his vehicle a couple hours ago.

Should be a well attended meeting, as we do not meet in December.

Will post a follow up in a couple hours.

22 arrived for the 7 pm start time. Club business meeting recapped minutes from last meeting, treasurer's report, new business, and closed.

One gent brought 3 silver dollars to sell. A "no date" Peace dollar. He thought it was a mint mistake, but it is a SUPERBLY minted troy ounce of silver that looks very, very close to a real Peace dollar. The clue? ".999 fine silver" and "one troy ounce" is on the reverse.

He also brought an 1882 CC Morgan - but, it is not genuine.

Auction items included a couple lightly circulate Peace dollars, several Good and better Flying Eagle, Indian Head, Lincoln cents, and one 2 cent coin.

I bid on and purchased two 3 coin lots of Lincoln cents. 1911-D (good), 1912-D (VF/XF), 1913-D (VF/XF) for $8. Second group included 1923-S (XF), 1931-D (VF), 1933-D (F) for $5.

Coin dealer (from out of town) arrived a touch late, but still found several raw Lincoln cents to purchase:

1909 Lincoln in MS62BN (lots of even orange - but has a small hit behind Lincolns head in the field
1918 MS63rb/bn - lots of orange
1925 ms64RB - close to red, lots of luster
1929 S - 63/64 bn - seems to be my "Elanor" of Lincolns
1945 D - 65rd
1948 S - 64rd

Great. Coin clubs are sort of popping up all over the place. Since most are free to get in, beats some of those coin shows that charge.

I can no longer attend my monthly coin club meetings... it conflicts with my daughter's Irish Dancing classes... (Being a Taxi >> Coins)
