2006 1/2oz bullion, mintage of 106,800. It's a semi-numismatic coin so prices are dependant on condition. You'll see everything from melt value to a decent premium. Latest sales of coins in original packaging on ebay seem to be in the low 20 dollars CAD range. Not sure what information you are looking for but Google will give you tons of coin/bullion dealers and wiki pages all of which have details about the coin. Of course, asking questions here will likely get you the quickest answers.

Mike, you have a 2006 1/2 Oz 99.99 Fine Silver bullion coin minted by the Royal Canadian Mint. Bullion coins the price goes up and down with daily silver spot prices. The 2006 wolf Mintage is around 100,000. Yes the price can be all over the map. This coin usually has a premium, meaning collectors will pay a bit more than spot for it, because it's relative low Mintage. The maple silver bullion coin has unlimited Mintage. It trades fairly close to silver spot prices. Another factoring pricing is whether or not the coin has the dreaded milk spots( white spots that can develop overtime) due to how the RCM processes it's bullion blanks. A spotted coin is worth less than a pristine coin. A coin dealer will typically offer less than silver spot, as this will be his profit margin. On ebay price will be determined by what bidders are willing to pay on that day. Look at ebay Solds for the coin to get an idea. Remember there's 13% of fees to be paid in total on an ebay sale. Most sellers do charge a shipping fee. I hope this has been helpful! I also hope you enjoy your coins and time spent on CCF. It's a great place to learn. Remember to watch out for fake coins. There's many topics here on how to spot fakes!

to CCF and it's Canadian part. When I started in the beginning of 2011 with NCLT and Bullion coins - I learned just from the ebay listings and sites like APMEX, cause they provide description, that I looked for. So, basically, if you have Internet availability and do not have a books (in Carlton catalogue for sure the 2006 1/2oz Silver Wolf mentioned), just visit the coin dealers sites and you will have a lot of info + estimated price. Let's say, visit Talisman or Gatewest dealers (cause they relevant for US). [When I started collecting, I missed the 2011 Wolf, the silver was high, my knowledge was like close to zero, remember myself buying the 2011 Wolf for huuuge premium ]Regarding specifically these coins:Yes, they first Canadian purely bullion Wild Life, but only they contain 1/2oz .9999 silver, since the 1oz coins Wild Life series started in 2011 with Wolf (same design as in 2006). Have no idea about mintage, sorry. I do not think , that they worth much more than silver content in them. From APMEX:(They sell it for $20 each) Product DetailsThe obverse of this popular .9999-fine 1/2 oz Silver coin bears the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II with a $1 CAN face value. The reverse has a beautifully and intricately designed Canadian Timber Wolf, with the moon and nighttime mountainside landscape behind this majestic Canadian predator. Brilliant Uncirculated - still sealed in original mint plastic. SpecificationsProduct ID: 11430 Year: 2006 Grade: Brilliant Uncirculated Grade Service: None Denomination: $1 (CAD) Mint Mark: None Metal Content: 0.5 troy oz Purity: .9999 Manufacturer: Royal Canadian Mint Thickness: na mm Diameter: 34 mm

Quote:From APMEX: (They sell it for $20 each) APMEX is 32.99 USD cheque/wire or 34.14 credit card - extremely overpriced IMO. http://www.apmex.com/product/11430/...-coin-sealedOther US dealers are similarly priced. In Canada, Colonial Acres has it listed at a crazy $39.95CAD w/ toning and GW have it for a staggering $49.95 CAD, limit of 2. I'm surprised that dealers weren't interested in your coins given the obscene premiums they are asking. Maybe it's because supply seems to outstrip demand currently, They are much cheaper on ebay especially for US buyers because shipping is often much less or free compared to expensive shipping to Canadian customers. As Silveroid mentioned, the design was reused in 2011 on a 1oz bullion coin so you have to be care when searching an comparing prices. It's easy to mistake the 1/2 and full oz.

Yup, the buy price is $20 "for transactions of $10,000 or more. Buy prices will be less for smaller trades".
Buy for 20 or less and sell for 33 or more - nice little business they have. lol

Hello Mike B, As a dealer I can tell you at this point we are only paying the bullion value on those coins.

Also a note in regards to this coin, it was the coin that sparked our very popular Wildlife Bullion series. In the same year (or 2007) the RCM made a gold coin with the exact same image, and then they produced a 1 oz silver coin to launch the wildlife series with the same image. I would say either hang on to these, or if you need to sell them do so on ebay or craigslist where you will see the best $$ for the coin.

There are also a few post-mint modified ones floating around with the wolf highlighted in gold. The same thing was done for the later wildlife series as well as post-mint full colour versions.
